This schedule is current as of 2023-01-11, including these changes:

  • Staff meetings have been clarified to Thu 9pm and Fri 10am; staff members may choose which one of the two meetings to attend.
  • The Adult Art Auction has been moved from Sunday 12pm to 1pm on the Marrott Stage.
  • The General Art Auction has been moved from Sunday 1pm to 2pm on the Marriott Stage.
  • The Charity Auction has been moved from Sunday 2pm to 4pm on the Marriott Stage, with an hour between the General Art Auction and Charity Auction.
  • The Meet the Charity event (“Kaffeeklatsch”) with Muttville has been moved to Friday at 5:30pm in the Marriott Guadalupe room.
  • The HIV Testing service has been moved indoors, in the “fan table” lounge space outside the Dealer’s Room, and will run from 11am to 6pm. Our partners with the Santa Clara County Department of Public Health and Bay Area Community Health will be issuing oral swab test kits, safer sex supplies, and health information.
  • These panels have been canceled:
    • “AV: Behind the Curtain” has been canceled on Sunday at 4pm.
    • “Taebyn Sings Weird Al!” has been canceled on Friday at 1pm.

Considering this history, and attending to current archival projects within the fandom, this panel opens a dialogue on what it means to collect and archive something, how such plays a part in power, and who gets archived and doesn’t, as fans take on cultural and personal interests as they work.

Furry Musicians: From Hobby to Career

Multiple furry musicians from different backgrounds have come together to share their different approaches to writing songs, marketing their work, making music videos and growing their communities as well as how they are turning creating music as a hobby into a career path. Clicker Training Game

A fun party game about dog training. Each round, a member of the audience will be the animal and everyone else will be the trainers. Fursuiters get priority on being the animal. The animal leaves the room for a moment while the trainers come up with a trick for the animal to perform. Then, they shape the animal’s behavior using their clickers by clicking whenever the animal’s behavior gets a little closer to what they’re looking for. The goal is to communicate with the animal what they’re supposed to do without either party talking or touching each other. You’re welcome to take home your clicker after the event.

Due to weather and short staffing, the Santa Clara County Public Health (SCCPH) will not be parking their mobile testing lab outside the convention center this year. Instead, they will be running a table indoors in the fan tables area in the Zoo, near con-ops and the dealer’s den on the first floor of convention center, on Saturday, January 14, 2023, from 11AM-6PM.

The SCCPH table will be offering HIV self test kits that can be done with an oral swab and will be giving out safer sex supplies and information. A community partner, Bay Area Community Health (BACH), will also be attending with self test kits for STIs and HIV.
