Multiple furry musicians from various backgrounds have come together to share their different experiences in turning their musical craft as a hobby into a career. Shapeshifters & Transformation in Fiction - From Fables to Furry Culture

A look at the history and evolution of animal transformation in fiction, from early mythology to folklore and fables, from werewolves in cinema to modern day furry comics, transformation have played a role in countless morality tales, religious texts, horror fiction, henshin anime, to the fantasy genres. We will look at different narrative techniques, tropes, visual representations, and plots common with these works and ways they can be expended. This panel summarizes this long history and analyzes themes from these types of stories.

4. A calculator with memory erased and formulas cleared is allowed. Cell phones must be silenced or turned off during the exam session and the phones’ calculator function may not be used.

Furry Media Studies: Conversations from Past to Present

What would it mean to study furry media, which can include everything from costumes, artwork, narrative, animation, to even the performances we miss out on? How have furry fans used what’s available to them to do this work already, and where might things go, if able? More of an opportunity to think together, this panel draws from fields such as Film and Media Studies, Performance Studies, and Print and Manuscript, even Comic Studies, thinking about what furry can offer to those looking to develop any research interests.

Surviving NaNoWriMo
